Assam Police Recruitment 2018-2019 Eligibility Criteria
Nationality
You have to be a citizen of India, ordinarily a resident of Assam; to be eligible for the Assam Police Recruitment 2018-2019.
Age Limit
Your age should not be more than 24 years and not less than 20 years. The age limit will be decided as on 1st January 2018-2019. You must be born on 01-01-1998 or before 01-01-1998 and on or after 01-01-1989.

All the SC, ST candidates will get the facility of 5 years age relaxation.
The age will be calculated as per your matriculation certificate or equivalent.
Physical Standards
For male candidates
- Height should be 162.56 cm for Gen / OBC / MOBC / SC candidates
- Chest should be 80 cm(normal) 85 cm(expanded) for Gen/OBC/MOBC/SC/ST (P) candidates
- ST (H) / ST (P) candidates- height should be 160.02 cm
- For ST(H) candidates chest should be 78 cm(normal) and 83 cm(expanded)
Female candidates
- For Gen / OBC / MOBC / SC candidates height should be 154.94 cm
- Height should be 152.40 cm for ST (H) / ST (P) candidates

Assam Police Recruitment 2018-2019 Selection Process
The selection procedure of Assam Police Recruitment 2018-2019 includes a few stages.
- Written Test
- PST(Physical Standard Test)
- PET(Physical Efficiency Test)

Written Test
The written examination will be objective type. You have to answer a total of 100 marks questions and the total number of questions will be 100. You will be provided with 180 minutes to complete the whole paper.
Each question will carry 1(one) mark and 0.5 marks will be deducted for each wrongly answered question.

- Matters related to History and Culture of Assam and India
- General Knowledge
You need to pass this written test examination to get into the next stage PST. Both male and female candidates who will be shortlisted will be called for the Physical Test.
PST (Physical Standard Test)
The PST will not carry any marks. So, you don’t have to score anything to get into the next stage. Your height, weight, chest etc. will be measured in this stage. A medical officer will be present there to examine your body. There are certain limitations for those candidates who have,

If you can clear the PST then you will be able to appear for Physical Efficiency Test.
PET (Physical Efficiency Test)

Race
For male candidates- 1600 meters race within 450 seconds
For female candidates- 800 meters race within 240 seconds
Long Jump
For male candidates- minimum 335cm in 3 chances
For female candidates- minimum 244cm in 3 chances

- If you have proficiency in computer- MCA, BCA or Diploma from any Govt. / UGC recognized /accredited Universities / Institution, Then you will be given preferences.
