BSPHCL Recruitment 2018-2019: Vacancy Details
As per the BSPHCL Recruitment Notification, there are 2050 vacancies as a whole in the following posts.
- Assistant Operator- 300
- Switch Board Operator – II – 1000
- Junior Line Man- 500
- Technician Gr- IV- 250

Along with the above, there are certain posts reserved for the Physically Challenged category and candidates under freedom fighter quota will also get reservations. However, all the reservation is for the candidates permanently domiciled in Bihar. Aspirants from other states of India will not be considered for the reservation.
BSPHCL Recruitment: Pay Scale
All the selected candidates will be paid Rs. 9,200 to Rs. 15,000 during the probation period of 1 year. After successful completion of the probation period, the Regular Pay Scale will be like the following-
- Assistant Operator- Level 4
- Switch Board Operator- II – Level 3
- Junior Line Man – Level 3
- Technician Grade-IV – Level 3
BSPHCL Recruitment: Eligibility Criteria
There are certain eligibility criteria you need to fulfill to apply any of the posts mentioned.
The minimum age to apply for any of the above-mentioned posts are 18 years. The maximum age limit for the general category candidates is 37 years. Whereas the reserved category candidates will get age relaxation. The upper age limit for the SC and ST Category candidates is 42 Years. The candidates belonging form Backward Class or from female category will get age relaxation up to 3 years. It means the upper age limit is 40 years for them.
The Physically challenged candidates will get an additional 10 years age relaxation. Hence the maximum age limit for a physically challenged person is 47 years.
To apply for any of the vacant posts the candidates need to pass at least the matriculation examination from a recognized board or institution.
Along with that an ITI certificate in Electrician trade from any Institution Recognized by National Council for Vocational Training, New Delhi(NCVT) or by State Council For Vocational Training(SCVT).
BSPHCL Recruitment: Selection Process
Candidates need to go through a Computer Based Test(CBT), which can be conducted in more than one batches depending on the number of applications. You can also know all the required details about Jharkhand High Court Recruitment.
The minimum Qualifying Marks in the CBT will be 40% for the unreserved category candidates. However, the Qualifying Marks for the reserved category candidates is different.
The minimum qualifying marks for the,
- Backward Class- 36.5%
- Extremely Backward Class- 34%
- For SC/ST & Female Candidates- 32%
There will be two paper in the CBT. In the first paper will have the following subjects,

- General English
- Basic Computer Knowledge Test
The second paper will be the technical paper. It will have questions as per the final year syllabus of ITI in Electrical Trade.

BSPHCL Recruitment: Application Fees
Candidates need to pay certain application fees through online mode only to apply for their desired post.
The application fee is Rs. 1,000/- for the Unreserved, Backward Class, & Extremely Backward Class Candidates. The SC/ST candidates domiciled in Bihar will get exemption in the application fees. The SC/ST category candidates need to pay Rs. 250/- as the application fees.
