CTET Exam: Eligibility Criteria

There are certain eligibility criteria you need to fulfill to participate in the CTET Exam. Take a look into the criteria mentioned below to find yourself eligible for your desired post. You can also check out Indian Bank PO Recruitment for more details about the same. 

The educational qualification to apply for the post of teacher in the elementary school(Class I to V) is different from the educational qualification for the teachers for Classes VI to VIII.

You must take a look at the table to know about the required educational qualification,

Teachers for Class I to IVSenior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education(Candidates appearing in the final year are also eligible)
Or,
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or
appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education, in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure),
Regulations, 2002
Or, Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education(B.El.Ed). However, Candidates appearing in the final year are also eligible.
Senior Secondary or equivalent with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-years Diploma in Education (Special Education)
Teachers for Class VI to VIIIGraduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in
Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor
in Education (B.Ed).
Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor
in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and
Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or
appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or
appearing in final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed.
(Special Education)

CTET Exam: Application Fees

Candidates need to pay the application fee through online mode or E-Challan to participate in Central Teacher Eligibility Test. The Application Fee for,

General & OBC Category Candidates Participating in Both Paper I & Paper II needs to pay Rs. 1200/- If you want to appear one of the Papers then the application fee is Rs. 700/- for you.

The SC or ST category candidates or a person differentially able will get fee exemption. Single paper Application Fee for such candidates is Rs. 350/- and for two papers they need to pay Rs. 600/- as application fees.

CTET Exam: Exam Pattern

The Paper I exam will be conducted to select aspirants for the Class I to V teacher. Whereas Paper II is to select candidates for Class VI to VIII teachers. 

The questions will be of Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions in both Papers.

To pass the CTET examination you need to secure at least 60% marks. The validity period of the CTET qualifying certificate is 7 years.

CTET Admit Card

The CTET Admit Card will be available on the official website of CTET. You need to download the admit card from the official website from 22nd September 2018-2019.

If in case the confirmation page did not generate then you need approach the Assistant Secretary (Exam.), CTET Unit, CBSE. You need to carry the Candidate Copy Of E-Challan or, Copy Of Bank Statement if you have made the payment using credit or debit card.

You must have to report at the venue 90 minutes before the commencement of the exam.
