IBPS RRB Recruitment- Eligibility Criteria
- You have to be a Citizen of India or a subject of Nepal or
- If you are a subject of Bhutan you will be eligible, or
- In case, you are a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
Age Limit & Age Relaxation
- For the post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose) – Age should be between 18 years and 28 years i.e. you should have not been born earlier than 02.06.1990 and later than 01.06.2000 (both dates are inclusive)
- Officer Scale- I (Assistant Manager) Post- Age must be above 18 years and Below 30 years i.e. you should not have been born earlier than 03.06.1988 and later than 31.05.2000 (both dates are inclusive)
- For Officer Scale-II (Manager) post- You have to be above 21 years old – below 32 years old i.e. you should not have been born earlier than 03.06.1986 and later than 31.05.1997 (both dates are inclusive)
- Officer Scale- III (Senior Manager) Post- Age must be above 21 years – below 40 years i.e. you should not have been born earlier than 03.06.1978 and later than 31.05.1997 (both dates inclusive)
There is some age relaxation for the reserved category candidates. In spite of the age barrier, the candidates who belong to these below categories can apply for the post of Assistant and Officer up to the revised age limit.

If you are applying for the posts of Office Assistant in any particular RRB and you want to be eligible for the interview then, you must possess proficiency in the local language of the State/ UT in which the RRB is situated.

How To Apply For IBPS RRB Recruitment
You can apply for the post of Office Assistant and Officer. Additionally, we would like to mention that, if you are going to apply for the Officer’s post then you are allowed to apply for one position only i.e either you can opt for Officer Scale-I or Scale-II or Scale-III.

- You must note down your registration number and password. Though you will get an alert on email and mobile through SMS for the Provisional Registration number and Password yet you should note down separately to be in the safe side
