From the total vacancies, the vacancy for the IT Officer is 219, for Agriculture Officer- 853, Rajbhasa Adhikari- 69, Law Officer- 75, HR Personnel- 81, Marketing Officer- 302. IBPS SO Recruitment 2019: Eligibility Criteria

You need to be a citizen of India to apply for the mentioned vacancies. Or there are some other criteria as well. Which are,

  • A subject of Nepal or
  • A subject of Bhutan or
  • Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India
  • Along with that, a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Age(As On 01.11.2019)

The minimum age should be 20 years. The maximum age limit is 30 years. It means to apply for the post of the specialist officer a candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.11.1988 and not later than 01.11.1998.

However, the reserved category candidates will get age relaxation. The SC and ST candidates will get age relaxation up to 5years. The maximum age relaxation for the OBC candidates is 3 years. A person with the disability can get age relaxation for 10 years. Hence, the maximum age limit for,

  • OBC Candidates- 33 Years
  • Physically Challenged Candidates- 40 Years
  • Ex-Servicemen- 35 Years

IBPS SO Notification 2019: Exam Pattern & Syllabus

As per the information furnished in the IBPS SO Notification 2019, the Selection Process will be conducted in three phases examination. The first phase is the Preliminary Exam, the second phase is the Mains Exam. The third and final phase of the selection process is the Personal Interview. You need to qualify in each of three tests by securing minimum cut-off marks. The cut-off marks to be decided by IBPS.

After qualifying in the preliminary examination you have to seat for the mains exam. Go through the following to get an overview of the mains examination.

Main Examination

The full marks for the main examination are 60. You will get 45 minutes to complete the paper.

For the Post of Law Officer, IT Officer, Agriculture Field Officer, HR/Personnel Officer, and Marketing Officer there will 60 objective type multiple choice questions to evaluate your professional knowledge.

For the post of Rajbhasha Adhikari, there will be 45 objective type multiple choice questions carrying 1 marks each. You will get 30 minutes for this section. Along with this there will 2 descriptive type question you will get another 30 minutes for this part as well.

There is negative marking in both the preliminary and main examination. 0.25 marks will be deducted from the total marks for your every wrong answer.
