Unlike the other years, the Staff Selection Commission is offering the opportunity to join the Central Armed Force of India to the female candidates as well. Here is a quote from the official notification that will prove the point-

SSC GD Constable Vacancy

As a whole, there are 54953 vacancies in the post of Constable (GD) in CAPFs. The successful candidates in the selection test will be recruited in the following armed forces of India,

  • Border Security Force (BSF)
  • Central Industrial Security Force (CISF)
  • Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)
  • Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP)
  • Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB)
  • National Investigation Agency (NIA)
  • Secretariat Security Force (SSF)
  • Rifleman (General Duty) in Assam Rifles

SSC GD Constable Recruitment – Eligibility Criteria

Candidates have to be eligible in terms of nationality, age, educational qualification, and physical standards. Scroll through to have a look at certain eligibility criteria.

Nationality/ Citizenship

To apply for the vacant post in the mentioned cadre candidates have to be a citizen of India. Along with that, all the vacancies are state or union territory based, therefore, the candidates have to submit domicile or PRC against his/ her state.

Age

The candidates must have to be 18 years to apply for the vacancies. The maximum age limit is 23 years. Which means an aspirant should not have been born earlier than 02.08.1995 and later than 01.08.2000.

However, the candidates from the reserved category will get their upper age relaxed. The upper age relaxation for the reserved category candidates is as follows,

Educational Qualification

The candidates need to pass at least the matriculation(10th) or equivalent from a recognized board or university.

SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2019: Selection Process

The selection will be made based on the performance of the candidates in the computer-based examination followed by a physical efficiency test. After completion of these two events, there will be a Physical Standard Test and Detailed Medical Examination. SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2019- Application Fees

You need to pay Rupees 100/- as the application fee online through Debit card or credit card. The application can be paid through SBI Challan or SBI Net Banking as well. However, Women candidates and the reserved category candidates as in the candidates belonging to Scheduled Cast, Scheduled Tribe, Ex-Servicemen need to not pay the application fee. They are exempted from fee payment.
