What are Prepositions

Prepositions are those words, which show the relationship of Nouns (or Pronouns) with the other words in the sentence. Prepositions are used before Nouns (or Pronouns) in the sentence.

Near

Near is used to refer to the position of something, which is not far away.

Examples:

My house is near the railway station.
Is there a petrol pump near your office?
Where is the nearest shopping centre?
It took him nearly 5 months to complete the project.
Don’t go near the animals in the zoo.
She was sitting near the tree.
My assignment is near completion.
Which is the nearest planet to the Sun?
She lives very near to my house.
Don’t stand near the railway line, when the train is coming.
